Acne Feedback: There is no way to tell if you will develop rosacea or not as you get older and you don’t need to be old to have rosacea. You do not want to exfoliate your skin with rosacea unless you something like that done at the dermatologist office. The best treatments are tetracycline and Metrogel. If you do a search on the web that some people have success with laser treatment and other things but again these are done at a dermatolgists office.
Acne Feedback: You don’t know. See a dermatologist for the best answers to your questions.
Acne Feedback: You don’t know if you will develop rosacea when you get older but it typically begins any time after the age of 30 and it’s believed that folks with fair skin who blush or flush easily are at the greatest risk. Rosacea is a chronic inflammation of mainly facial skin (cheeks, chin, forehead, nose) but can appear on the ears, neck, chest and scalp. Although more women are diagnosed with rosacea, men tend to have more severe symptoms, perhaps because they delay seeking treatment until the condition reaches advanced stages. There are 4 subtypes of rosacea.
You do not exfoliate rosacea. You do not use microdermabrasion on rosacea. You are followed by a Dermatologist who decides the most appropriate way to treat it — that might be with oral and topical medications that can include antibiotics or with laser vein removal.
