What is the best acne product to use in my situation?

Can you answer aaron.saved’s question about Acne?:

The past year I’ve been using Pro Active and it has cleared up my skin but then it stopped curing my skin when I had little acne left. I didn’t have a lot of acne left so I thought i would try and use Murad. I have used it for a month and I’m getting more acne. I get a lot of whiteheads out of no where like everyday.

Acne Feedback: Yeah, I also use Clean and Clear and it works pretty good. I’ve noticed that if you use one acne product for too long, it’s like your skin creates a resistance to it and no longer works. Try something new.

Acne Feedback: You need something stronger than what is available over-the-counter, unfortunately. You need to see a dermatologist for stronger, prescription treatments. There are many options (which can be cheaper than over-the-counter / online products, if you have insurance). There are prescription washes like Plexion, leave-on treatments, or even Accutane. Don’t waste any more time or money on over-the-counter products if they don’t work for you.

Acne Feedback: One more important question you should ask yourself is not what’s the best acne product, but why your acne recurs when once disappeared.
Be more care about what caused your acne.

Acne Feedback: I would try going to Facial Excellence and reading a bit. That site has information on all types of acne.

Acne Feedback: People suggest u different stuff for acne and u believe them and try it, because those products worked for them. But that doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for you.
I’ve had friends who said pro active is the best and had ones tha said pro active is a disaster. Same with neutrogina, murad, clean and clear and etc.
My best suggestion is to see a professional lik a dermatologist.
Even though it may cost some money, ur skin is the most important part of your body, and u shouldn’t just use any products because it could bring lots of damage to your skin if it doesn’t match ur situation

ANother suggesion is to use Glycerin based soap or wash/cleanser or sorbitol based soap or wash. These products are sold in many brands, just go and ask the staff for glycerin or sorbitol based, and they will know. Natural products from Body shop have many products like teatreeoil face wash and aloe face cleanser with Glycerin to make ur skin cleaner without drying it, or making it sensitive, or making it red and blotchy. ANything that is natural can help you more, and even if it doesn’t work, it will give you way less harm than chemical based face products

    GOOD LUCK!!!

Acne Feedback: Clean and clear did the same with me, when i had little left it just didn’t get rid of it, and then sometimes my skin stung when i used it, my spots weren’t open or i hadn’t picked them or anything. my skins quite sensitive. go to a dermatologist, that’s what im doing in a couple of weeks. from what i’ve heard what the dermatologist’s offer, the treatment works.

Acne Feedback: If topical creams alone prove ineffective, doctors will usually combine them with an oral antibiotic. The topical creams usually contain benzoyl peroxide which although effective, should be used in small doses. It was originally thought to be harmless, however studies show that prolonged use or overuse can lead to premature aging of the skin.

The most important thing to remember when attempting to rid yourself of acne is to work with a trained medical professional that you trust. Secondly, be patient. Even in the best of cases, acne does not clear up overnight. In fact, even when you have found a treatment that works, your skin will usually get worse before it gets better. Doctors usually recommend continuing a treatment for at least four to six weeks before expecting to see results. Do not be disappointed if the first treatment that you try does not work. Expect to try several different treatments before finally finding success.

    Acne Feedback: Hi there,
I went through what you have just described, almost exactly, then a friends girlfriend suggested I use this really excellent Clay off eBay, which has made my acne completely gone. Here’s the link for it, so I hope you get the same results as I did.
